Airbnb Athens

For my trip to Athens I found a nice airbnb for a good price. Don’t expect much I would say but it’s clean, has a small kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker,... also a small bathroom that is mainly clean. There are 3 rooms in this accommodation so it’s not as private as we thought from what was described. Also there is no hot tub which is in the description aswell.

The location is great, only about 10 minutes from Syntagma Square where you can find shops, cafès and restaurants. The public transport is good with easy access. The tickets all look the same which can be confusing if you’re not used to it.

One aspect I personally didn’t enjoy was the noise in the room since it’s located right next to a busy main street.

The hosts weren’t there but always kept in touch very well via the airbnb website.

The self - check in with the code & lock box is easy and very convenient. There is only 1 key in the lockbox so you always need to put it back but when you approach the door of your room you’ll find your own keys which is great! The elevator seems to be pretty old and is tiny so I decided to walk to the second floor.

For Athens definitely recommendable on a standard basis.
